Trending topic («tema del momento» o «tendencias» en español, TT de forma abreviada) es el nombre que reciben las palabras o frases más empleadas en un momento concreto en Twitter.
¿Qué es un Hashtag?
Un hashtag (del inglés «hash», almohadilla, tag o etiqueta), en servicios web tales como Twitter, FriendFeed, Taringa!, identi.ca, es una cadena de caracteres formada por una o varias palabras concatenadas y precedidas por una almohadilla (#).
Se utilizan dentro del texto de los mensajes, de manera que posteriormente un usuario podrá buscar los mensajes en los que está presente dicha etiqueta.
